Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Wednesday, November17, 2010 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 94 years. Daughter of the late Frederick and Helen (Wisniewski) Heyden, Cleo was born October 26, 1916 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from St. Joseph High School. Cleo married Thomas M. Haley on August 3, 1935. He predeceased her March 5, 1982. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards especially Euchre, loved her family, friends and all God’s creatures great and small, and was an avid Michigan State Fan. Surviving are four daughters, three sons and their spouses, Helen (Greg) Michnick, Thomas (Elaine) Haley, John P. (Mary Ann) Haley, Kathleen (Gary) Samym, Frederick (Marlene) Haley, Mary Ellen (Sherman) Whisman and Karen (Bob) Colston; 21 grandchildren: 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. Cleo was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Melissa Powers Fonville; two sisters, Kathleen Agans and Maxine Kurecka. The Haley Family would like to extend a special thank you to Covenant HealthCare-Cooper 5th Floor and Emergency Room for making Cleo’ s trip to Heaven more comfortable. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Emmit Marceau will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Helen Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
