Passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 15, 2010 while enjoying ice fishing.  Age 60 years.  Robert Frank Hack was born May 25, 1949 in Bay City to Margaret (VanAuken) and Kenneth Hack.  He married Cynthia Strefling on January 30, 1971 at the Fremont Methodist Church in Bay City.  They shared 39 wonderful years together, and he leaves Cynthia to cherish his memory.  Bob worked for more than 40 years at Nexteer, formerly Delphi, as a Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer. During this time he received numerous awards for problem solving and continuous improvement and was inducted to the Problem Solving Wall of Fame. He was passionate about the Lord and enjoyed worshiping at Hopevale Church. Bob also enjoyed traveling the world, hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his loving family and friends.  In addition to his wife, Cynthia, Bob is survived by three children: Kelly (Jeffrey) Summerfield, Angela (Jamison) Majchrzak, and Robert (Rebecca) Hack; six grandchildren: Micah, Jaden, Arielyn, Abigael, Brady and Avian; his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Hack; two brothers: Gary (Judy) Hack and Jim (Sharon) Hack and his mother-in-law, Hulda Gast.  His father-in-law, Ed Strefling, preceded him in death.  His family will gather to celebrate Bob’s life at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Hopevale Church, 5360 Shattuck Road, Saginaw.  Pastor Dan Davis will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State) on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Bob will lie in state at the church on Thursday at the from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Hopevale Church Building Fund and the Hack’s Family Wishes. Please share your thoughts and memories at the funeral home, church or through www.DeislerFuneralHome.com.
