Passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. She was 74 years old. Nanette DeRosia was born on August 5, 1936 in Saginaw to the late Rolland and Marguerite (Neiderstadt) DeRosia. She was married to Jack A. Gustin on June 28, 1958 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Saginaw. He survives her. Nan was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church prior to joining St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted mother with many interests. Many people marveled at her creative talents including knitting, quilting and home decorating. She also had a love for reading. Nan’s kindness and generosity overflowed from her home into the community through her volunteer, mentoring and charity work. Left to cherish Nan’s memory besides her husband Jack are three children: Shelly (Rudy) Rivera, Mike (Kim) Gustin and Mark (Anne) Gustin; nine grandchildren: Adam, Erin (Wade), Katie, Samantha, Angie, Rudy Jr., Jennifer, Samuel, and Heather; two great-granddaughters: Ellie and Ryanne; and many close cousins. She was preceded in death by a very special cousin Gerald Owens. Nan’s Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Cartwright Hospice Residence. Nan’s Funeral Liturgy will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road. Rev. David L. Parsch will officiate with Burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State) on Friday, December 17, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place on Friday at 7:30 p.m. under the direction of Rev. James R. Carlson. Nan will lie in state at Holy Spirit Church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of her Mass.
