Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Laurels of Defiance, Ohio. Age 96 years. The daughter of the late Edward and Grace (Dunn) Healey, Jane was born June 24, 1914 in Birch Run, Michigan. She married Richard Grohman on September 7, 1935. He predeceased her November 18, 1959. Jane was a charter and active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church where she sang in its choir, served as a lay minister and taught Religious Education. She was a member of the League of Catholic Women and also volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital and its auxiliary. Jane worked for many years as an assistant to Dr. Harry Richter and Dr. Edward Kickham until her retirement in 1982. Surviving are one son, two daughters and their spouses, Karla Dunn, Houston, Texas; Anthony and Kathleen Grohman, Port Clinton, Ohio; Jayne and Michael O’Toole, Anaheim Hills, California; three grandchildren, Cori (Sean) Byrne, Tricia (Dale) Miller and Anthony R. Grohman; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Molly and Alexa; a brother, Jack Healey, Toledo, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Ann Grohman, and by two sisters, Eleanor Merrill and Alyce Domm. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. William R. Taylor will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Stephen Catholic Church where the family will be present on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
