Beloved wife passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Cartwright Care Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 59 years.  Julie Ann Micsak was born November 17, 1950, in Saginaw. She married Raymond John Gelski on April 10, 1971, he survives her. Julie was known for her wonderful cooking (especially her pies) and her beautiful gardening. She won many ribbons at the Saginaw County Fair for her flowers, vegetables and delicious fudge. Julie loved animals and she was notorious for rescuing stray cats and finding them good homes.  Besides her husband of 39 years she is survived by: her father, Edward (Margaret) Micsak; brothers, Rolland (Kathryn) Berger and Steve Micsak; special aunt, Ann Drbul; several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends; and her much loved dog Kassie and countless cats. She was predeceased by her mother Rose Mary (Drbul) Hoffman; uncles, Rudy Drbul and Martin Drbul; mother-in-law, Margaret Zimmer; and several aunts and uncles.  Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at W.L. Case & Company in Merrill. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hemlock. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Saginaw.
