Galonska, Mr. Joseph W., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010. Age 56 years. The son of the late Daniel and Mary (Wade) Galonska, Joseph was born July 7, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1971. He married Judy Ott, his loving wife of 37 years, on November 17, 1973. She survives him. Joseph was employed at General Motors/Delphi Chassis for nearly 35 years until his retirement in 2005. He was a lifelong member, past President and current Secretary of the Pulaski Club. Joseph enjoyed being involved in golf and bowling leagues and putting on tournaments, even though he could not participate. You could always count on Joseph to take charge or give you a hand and he always did a top notch job. He had an amazing sense of humor. Joseph’s wit was loved and appreciated. His love for Judy, his family and friends was very special. Joseph was never afraid to say “I love you”. To know Joseph was to love him. He will be greatly missed but his memories will be with us.  Surviving besides his wife Judy are two sons and their spouses, Rick and Mary Galonska, Hemlock; Terry and Melanie Galonska, Hemlock; two granddaughters, Allyson and Jenna Galonska; one sister and three brothers, Mary Ann Miklovic, Daniel (Lori) Galonska, Thomas (Kelly) Galonska and Richard Galonska; Joseph’s mother-in-law, Bonnie Ott; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Kathy Ott, Delma and Don Bryce, Robert Ott, Joe and Julie Ott; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Joseph was preceded in death by an infant sister, LuAnn, his father-in-law, Leonard Ott, his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny Ott, Randy Miklovic and Sheila Ott.  Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Road in Saginaw. Rev. Fr. James Carlson will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Family and friends will share memories of Joseph 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
