Emeott Sr., William A., Saginaw, Michigan

Our beloved father and grandfather passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010, at home with his family by his side at the age of 66. William was born September 19, 1944 in Saginaw to the late James Earl and Lillian Mae (Gerou) Emeott. He worked for the City of Saginaw for 30 years retiring in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing music, and watching horse racing and sports. He was a boxing trainer and was known to study other boxers so he could teach those he was coaching to win in seemingly impossible circumstances. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be missed dearly. He was predeceased by his siblings, Betty Soriteu, Robert Emeott Sr., Lillian Garza, Earl Emeott, Fred Emeott, and Jack Emeott Sr. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Scott) Popielarz, Rick (Linda) Emeott, and Bill (Pam) Emeott; grandchildren, Aaron, Hanna, Ricky, Hunter, Zach, and Michael; the mother of his children, Hazel R. Emeott; siblings, James Emeott, Beverly Lawery, and Ruth Carrigan; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010, at W.L. Case & Company, 409 Adams St. Chaplain Cathy Teter will officiate with burial of ashes to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. www.casefuneralhome.com
