Dengler, Donald W., Merrill, Michigan

Our beloved dad, grandpa and brother went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 29, 2010, at the age of 78 years. Don was born March 12, 1932, to the late Walter and Violet Dengler. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Saginaw News after working there for over 30 years. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid gardener. He is survived by his children, Diane (Robin Jeanblanc) Dengler, Carolyn Perry and Robert (Julie) Dengler; grandchildren, Joshua, Christie, Daniel, Cynthia, Brittni, Alyshia, Christopher, Caleb, Elijah and Gabriel; sisters, Dorothy Keenan, Judy (Tom) Crampton and Joan (Dick) Schultz; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Christopher Dengler; and siblings, Mary Naessens and Jim Dengler. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Hemlock United Methodist Church, 409 W. Saginaw. Rev. Jerry Densmore will officiate with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at W.L. Case & Company in Merrill on Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hemlock United Methodist Church.
