Passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010, at his home. Age 88 years. The son of the late Louis and Laura (Bourcier) Dembinsky was born February 24, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Darlene S. Phillips, April 12, 1952. She survives him. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of American Legion Post #22 and V.F.W. Post # 1859. He was employed by General Motors, Malleable Iron Foundry and later by Eaton Mfg. Co. retiring in 1980 with forty-two years of service. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Surviving besides his wife, Darlene, are nine children and their spouses, Randy and Cheryl Dembinsky; Mary Dembinsky; Kathy and Gene Borrousch; Harry Dembinsky; Tony and Diane Dembinsky; Diane and Rick Alvarado; Laura and Mike Gray; Mike Dembinsky; Amy Dembinsky; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Arminia and Joe Hudeck; Shirley and Ronald Christin; Mary Alice Phillips; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Breana Dawn Buck, a brother and sister, Marvin Dembinsky and Mary Engal, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth and Adolph Sakowski and Gerald Phillips. The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Saginaw, with cremation to follow. Military honors will be under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may then call at the Church from 9:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the funeral service.
