Crafard, Charles Morris, Saginaw, Michigan, Formerly of Bay City and Lake, MI

Passed away peacefully at home early Friday, November 05, 2010. Age 90 years. Charles Morris Crafard was born May 18, 1920, in Garfield Township, Clare County, Michigan, the son of the late William Joseph and Izola Belle (Harder) Crafard. He graduated from Farwell Area High School. He had been employed with the C.C.C. from 1939 until 1942. He later worked for General Motors for several years. He retired from the Farwell Area Schools, where he had worked as a school bus driver for many years. He married Geneva Blaisdell on June 23, 1942; she predeceased him in 1977. He later married and was widowed by Elsie Crafard, of Bay City. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Saginaw. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in his later years, he liked to make latch-hook rugs. Surviving are seven children, Charles M. (Mary E. “Libby”) Crafard, Jr., Carol L. Botos, Connie J. Carr, John W. (Glenna) Crafard, Frederick J. Crafard, James (Glenda) Crafard, and Ann M. (Troy) Boerma; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; several step-children and their families; several nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by a son, Brian Crafard, two great-grandsons, three brothers, one sister, and two infant siblings. Cremation has taken place with private committal services in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
