Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Covenant Health Care Cooper Campus. Age 90 years. Daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Lenio) Yaruczewski, Ann was born December 16, 1920 in Cass City, Michigan. She was married to Aloysius “Chick” L. Cichowski on October 19, 1946. He predeceased her April 2, 1989. Ann was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and a past member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She was a member of Pulaski Club Ladies Auxiliary and Washington Society Ladies Guild. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, dancing, bingo and especially her family. Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Tim and Betty Cichowski, Auburn; Tom and Lori Cichowski, Reese; Vicky and Donald Lawson, Saginaw; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Schultz, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews and special friends especially Irene Dudek, Fran Wagner and Jan and Denny Latty. Ann was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Bastuk and Jane Barnovitz and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Victoria Cichowski, Stella Cichowski, John Bastuk , Joseph Barnovitz, Ben Cichowski and Stanley Schultz. A special thanks to her grandson David and his friend Amy for all the special loving care they had given and great grandchildren Mallory and Owen Gladwish for the joy they gave to her. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
