Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at St. Mary’s of Michigan. Age 68 years. The son of the late Clarence S. and Emma (Lehman) Chinery, Art was born May 10, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #439. He married Sharon Micho on April 27, 1966. She predeceased him July 6, 1974. Art married Cathy Jean Micho on March 5, 1975. She predeceased him on March 7, 2004. He then married Debbie Vescio on July 19, 2009. She survives him. Art was employed at Buick in Flint for 34 years and retired from Chevrolet in Bay City in 2004. He was a member of Hopevale Church. Art coached Saginaw Twp. Little league for 10 years. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage at Higgins Lake, fishing, playing cards but most of all being with his children and grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife Debbie are his children, Scott Arthur and Rene Chinery, Saginaw; Pastor James and Beth Chinery, Iron Mountain, Michigan; Lorie Miller, Saline, Michigan; Brandi and Jeff Mielke, Saginaw; Brian and Kristen Chinery, Dearborn; step-children, Tony Vescio, Saginaw; Angi and Scott Porras, Saginaw; his grandchildren, Sean Arthur Chinery, Ashley Elizabeth Clark, Jordan Ross Chinery, Lexi Anne Chinery, Julian Ryan Miller, Jacob Andrew Mielke, Zachary Ammann Miller, Noah Arthur Mielke, Ruth Catherine Chinery, Ivan James Chinery, Molly Jean Chinery and Roxane Clare Chinery; a great-granddaughter, Bella Rene Chinery; step-grandchildren, Taylor Porras and Brittany Porras; a sister, Dell and Don Billmeier, Munger; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 at Hopevale Church. Pastor Mike Garner will officiate where military honors will be presented by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. and at Hopevale Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
