Card, Andrew James, Bloomfield Township, MI, Formerly of Lansing and Saginaw, MI

Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at his home. Age 59 years. Andrew James Card was born on July 6, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan to Thomas R. and Barbara J. (Korkus) Card. He had been employed as a District Manager at the Gage Company in Lansing and most recently with the Better Business Bureau in Southfield. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting and was very proud of getting a hole in one at the Country Club in Lansing.  Surviving are two daughters: Elizabeth Anne (Marcus) Wasilevich of Lansing and Emily Kaye Card of Lansing; three grandchildren: Violet, Calvin and Hazel Wasilevich; his mother, Barbara J. Card of Saginaw; a brother and two sisters: Richard (Lordeen) Card of Bloomfield Hills, Irene “Rene” (Richard) Shell of Woodinville, WA, and Mary L. Card of Fountain Hills, AZ.  Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Thomas R. Card and an infant sister, Theresa.  Andrew’s Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Road. Rev. Fr. James R. Carlson will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State) on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. A vigil will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Andrew will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Nouvel Catholic Central.
