Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother sent home to be with her family on Friday, February 12, 2010. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Anna (Mueller) and August Rauchholz, Eleanor Rauchholz was born December 4, 1922 at home, where she lived all of her life. She graduated from Hemlock High School in 1940. She had been employed at the Hemlock Stockyards and Hemlock Creamery. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hemlock. She married Donald R. Bruse on December 11, 1943; he predeceased her February 27, 1991. A son William Bruse predeceased her in 2002. Surviving are two sons, Duane Bruse, Beaverton; Carl Bruse and his wife Shirley, Hemlock; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Lynn and Brian Thompson, Bethlehem, New Hampshire; Sgt. Gerald and Robin Bruse, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Kimberly and Wayne Breault, Christina and Joe Putnel, and Donald Bruse, all of Beaverton; Marie Bruse, James Bruse, both of Hemlock; Amy and Matt Sczepanski, Midland; thirteen great-grandchildren; one nephew, Bernard and Bonnie Neuenfeldt; one niece, Marilyn Ludgin. She was predeceased by two sisters, Frieda Neuenfeldt and Hulda Ludgin. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Road, Hemlock. Rev. Martin Hagenow will officiate with burial in Richland Township Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and on Monday, and then at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
