Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010. Age 93 years. Daughter of the late Stanley and Julia (Durek) Suchocki, Stella was born November 26, 1916 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Joseph Wandzel in 1934. He predeceased her in 1983. She then was married to Marvin Brown in 1988. He predeceased her in 1998. Stella was owner and operator of Zilwaukee Beauty Shop for 30 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Josaphat Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society. Stella enjoyed Bowling and was a multi-gallon blood donor. Surviving are three daughters and son, Joan and Frank Kruske, Saginaw; Janice Terry, Maryville, Tennessee; Karen Brandimore, Phoenix, Arizona, Dennis Wandzel, Akron, Michigan; three step-sons, Donald and Cindy Brown, Saginaw; Gerald and Arthea Brown, St. Charles; David Brown, Saginaw, 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Lauraine Doyle, Akron, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Stella was preceded in death by one son, Sylvester Wandzel, two brothers, Frank Such and Harry Suchocki, and five sisters, Sophia Suchocki, Leona Krzak, Anne Jackiewicz, Betty Ward and Catherine Taylor. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at St. Josaphat Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Josaphat Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. St. Josaphat Rosary Altar Society will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Monday and a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
