Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Brian’s House following a lengthy illness. Age 83 years. The son of the late Leonard J. Boudot Sr. and Fern (Janke) Boudot, Leonard was born January 3, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Leonard married Lona Hodges, his loving wife of nearly 62 years, on April 16, 1949. She survives him. Leonard was employed at Baker Perkins for 38 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had attended Second Presbyterian Church. Leonard enjoyed the time he spent at the cottage Elbow Lake and being near the ocean at Ormond Beach, Florida. Surviving besides his wife Lona are three sons and their spouses, Leonard and Jeanne Boudot, Freeland; Leo Boudot, Traverse City; Larry and Sherry Boudot, Freeland; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. Leonard was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Betty Boudot. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. James Neumann and Rev. Scott McIntyre will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
