Boensch, Dolores A., Merrill, Michigan

Passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Pine River Healthcare Center. Age 79 years. Dolores Ann Colmus was born on October 14, 1930 in Saginaw to the late Bernard and Bernadine (DeShone) Colmus. She married Raymond L. Boensch on June 25, 1955. He survives her. Dolores was employed as a director for McBrite Manor Retirement Community and a program director for the Refugee Resettlement Services Center for Catholic Family Services for the Diocese of Saginaw. Dolores was a Claims Secretary for Michigan Bell Telephone Company for many years. She gained her education with Delta College and Great Lakes Junior College. Dolores was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hemlock, MI. Surviving are her husband, Raymond; three children, Linda (Donald) Rundenza of Saginaw, MI., John (Lynn) Boensch of Merrill, MI., and Beverly (Troy) Bellinger of Ithaca, MI.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers, Lillian (William) Glency, Mary (Charles) Moore, Jacqueline (Kurt) Meinke, Eugene Colmus, Daniel Colmus, and Robert Colmus; In-laws, Patricia (Donald) Plowdrey, and Leonard (Carol) Boensch. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard Colmus, Earl Colmus, and Alvin Colmus; three brother-in-laws, Francis (Lucille) Boensch, Carl Boensch, and Bernard (Helen) Boensch and a sister-in-law, Agatha Boensch. Dolores’ Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 151 St. Mary’s Drive, Hemlock, MI. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State), on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Dolores will lie on state at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
