Becker, Henry G., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Saginaw Geriatrics Home. He was 88 years old. Henry G. Becker was born March 17, 1922 in Indiantown to the late Charles and Catherine (Rothstetter) Becker. Henry was a pilot in WWII serving with the Navy. He worked as an architect for Wigen Tincknel & Associates and for the Michigan State Police Fire Marshal Office. Henry loved to golf and would winter in Florida. He was a member of the Maple Hill Golf Course, the Knights of Columbus and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Surviving are two sisters, Louise LaVere and Genevieve Becker; one brother, Conrad Becker; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a long time friend, Walter Fayfer. Henry was preceded in death by four siblings: Julius Becker, Harold Becker, George Becker and Catherine Baker. Henry’s funeral liturgy will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road. Rev. Fr. David L. Parsch will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A Military service will take place at the cemetery under the direction of V.F.W Post 1859. Friends may call at Holy Spirit Catholic Church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the Disabled American Veterans.
