Becker, Frank W., James Township, Michigan

Barbara P. Frost

Was called home by his Lord, Tuesday, April 6, 2010, after fighting a courageous 6 1/2 month battle at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit. Frank was born in Saginaw, Jan. 24, 1946 to the late Melvin and Irene Becker. He married Jacqueline Savage June 25, 1966. They had a one of a kind, soul mate love for one another. For those 44 years, they were a shining example of what a God filled marriage genuinely was. Frank was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School. He had been raised in the Lutheran Faith. Prior to his illness, he had been active in the Church of God. He began his working career as an apprentice for Baker Perkins for four years, after which he became a journeyman electrician. He and Jackie later became the owners of "Gods Gifts and Our Talents" in Shields. At which time it became a very well known and loved shop in the Tri-Cities. After retiring from their shop, he went on to develop "INDUTECH LLC," which he co-owned with Lee Horton. Frank truly loved his work and was well respected in the business community. Frank was an avid hunter, something he loved sharing and teaching his two grandchildren. This legacy will live with them forever. Frank was a beloved husband, father, "Boppie," son in law, brother in law, uncle and friend. He has left behind, for those he loved, countless memories that will be forever cherished. Surviving besides his wife Jackie, are his two daughters: Lalonnie Buckbee (son-in-law Franklin), Flushing and Shawndell Becker (James Rowland), Saginaw. He also leaves his two beloved grandchildren: Alexander and Victoria Buckbee. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Julia Savage, Freeland; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Williams, Auburn, and Patty Savage Freeland; brother-in-law, Terry Savage, Freeland, and all their families. Predeceasing him, besides his parents, were his father-in-law Gerald Savage and brother-in-law Jerry Savage both of Freeland. As per Franks' wishes, cremation has already taken place. Memorial service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, where his family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until the time of service. Pastor Erik Cloeter, of Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may choose to consider family wishes.
