Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away early Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Saginaw Senior Care, at the age of 94 years. Imogene Ruth Oberlin was born September 2, 1916, in Marne, Michigan, the daughter of the late Orin A. and Clara O. (Kale) Oberlin. She married Ernest J. Beach on September 19, 1941; he predeceased her on April 4, 1979. She founded the Credit Union for Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital, serving as its manager and retiring in 1975. She was an active member of First Christian Church, West, holding various church offices. Her hobby was making hats for needy children. Surviving are two sons, Donald J. (Bernice) Beach, Hemlock, MI; Dennis J. (Kathy) Beach, Swartz Creek, MI; five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jenny) Beach, Portage, MI; Greg (Tara) Beach, Traverse City, MI; Christine (Greg) Siebert, Shelby, MI; Steven (Katharine) Beach, Ypsilanti, MI; Renee (Aric) Metevia, East China, MI; eleven great-grandchildren; Alex, Madelyn and Erin Siebert, John and Elizabeth Beach, Nathan and Katelyn Metevia, Alexis and Logan Beach, Jessica and Jenna Beach; many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Oberlin, and two sisters, Mary Jackson and Coral Ludlum. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 27, 2010, at the First Christian Church, West, 5545 McCarty Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Barbara Pratt will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and then at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
